Annual Leave Right of Private Employees in Pakistan

Annual Leave right of private employees who are persistently working in an organization or institute.

According to the law of Pakistan a person has the right to have at least 14 leaves in a year if he/she working in a private organization or institute.

Any private organization, comes under 49-B Factory Act, is obliged to give 14 holidays to every employee who has been working for continuously a year.

Continuous work does not include Friday or Sunday. Every person who is working in a private organization or an institute has the right to have the 14 additional holidays, except for holidays including Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Azha, Independence Day, Ashura, Eid Milad un Nabi (SAW), Muharram, Quaid-e-Azam Day and other official holidays.

Any private employee who comes under the terms workman can get the right of having all these holidays once a year.

Private employees have the right of having the 14 holidays under the 49-B of Factories Act.
