- 1 kg carrots (grated)
- 2 liter milk
- Khoya ½ cup
- Green cardamoms 8 to 10
- Desi ghee 5 to 7 tablespoon
- Sugar one cup
- Raisins 2 tablespoon
- Crushed almonds 4 tablespoon
- Dates chopped 4 tablespoon
- Pistachio chopped 2 tablespoon
How to make Gajar ka halwa?
In a pan heat desi ghee and add grated carrots, let them cook for few minutes until soft.
In another pot add milk and cardamom and cook until milk started to boil. Now add the carrot mixture and cook for 5 minutes then add sugar and mix until you get a thick paste. Finally, add khoya and all dry fruits; cover the lid and cook over a gentle flame for more than 5 minutes.
Now delicious Gajar ka halwa is ready to serve.
