Facebook Launched a Dedicated Tab for Safety Check. Facebook Safety Check for letting others know that you’re safe during an emergency. The social media giant has launched the Safety Check tab button for its app and desktop version.
The Facebook Safety Check feature is currently accessible to the limited number of users, but it will start rolling out soon to other users across the globe.
The Facebook Safety Check feature will permit the social media users to mark themselves safe if a disaster occurs, letting the loved ones know that you are safe and sound.
Facebook launched Safety Check feature in 2011 only activated by the company whenever a calamity occurs, as a way to connect people affected by natural disasters to seek help and let their friends know they are safe.
Furthermore, the Facebook Safety Check feature also allow one view a feed of calamities, updates from friends who marked themselves as safe in a calamity and offers of help.
Earlier this year, Facebook introduced a feature called Community Help that permits users who are close to disaster ask for or offer help. This can comprise access to transport, lodging or supplies.
Facebook has also recently launched the new “Watch “Video Streaming Service Tab in its efforts to take on Youtube video streaming service.
The new Facebook Watch is available for all the mobile, desktop and Facebook’s TV apps.
