Government Officially Declared Eid-Ul- Azha 2017 Holidays in Pakistan. Eid-Ul- Azha 2017 is all set to be celebrated on Saturday 2nd September in Pakistan. The Interior Ministry has now officially declared the 4 days of Eid-ul-Azha 2017 holidays in Pakistan.

The Interior Ministry has issued a notification today and as per notification the Eid-ul-Azha 2017 holidays will start from 1st September to 4 September.

All the Muslim celebrates Eid-ul-Azha on 10th Zil hujj by sacrificing the animals after Hajj in order to commemorate the Hazarat Ibrahim’s enthusiasm to sacrifice his son for Allah Almighty, even though Allah is said to have intervened and provided a ram to be sacrificed in place of Hazarat Ishmael.

The 9th Zil hajj is revered as Day of Arafah (Youm-e-Arafat).

The Interior Minister shared the official notification of Eid-ul-Azha 2017 holidays in Pakistan on his official Twitter account, saying that Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shall be public holidays in the country.

The Saudi government has officially announced 16 public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha 2017. The Eid-ul-Azha 2017 holiday period will begin on the end of Thursday, Dhu Al Hijjah 2, 1438. Work will resume on Dhu Al Hijjah 19, 1438.
