HEC Demands Lecturers Should Have 18 Years of Education
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has implemented a new rule in which the appointed Lecturers should have 18 years of education. In this regard the HEC has directed the universities and degree awarding institutions to make it sure that the new appointment of Lecturers according to the commissions’ rule and the minimum qualification should be of 18 years of education.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a letter to Vice Chancellors and Rectors for the implementation of the commission’s direction till 30th June, 2017. The newly appointed Lecturer should be MPhil / MS or equivalent degree i.e. 18 years, or Masters from a foreign University.
Furthermore, HEC has also prolonged the cut-off date for levitation least requirement of Assistant Professors in universities/degree awarding organizations to the level of PhD, to 1st January, 2018.
