The first Ramadan will begin on the eve of Wednesday, 18th February in Pakistan and on 17th February in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and other Middle East countries.

Pakistan Prepares for Ramadan 2026: Expected Start Date and Weather Forecast:

This year, the holy month of Ramadan is to begin on the eve of Wednesday, 18th February in Pakistan. The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) said that the Ramadan Moon 1447 Hijri is likely to be visible on February 18, and will be visible to the naked eye.

On the other hand, millions of Muslims around the world will welcome the holy month of Ramadan on 17th February 2026. The concerned authorities will announce the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan 2026 in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Malaysia and the Middle East countries.

Ramadan 2026: First Fast to be on February 19 in Pakistan:

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet at the head office in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, headed by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, will watch the crescent of Ramadan on February 18 (Wednesday). The Ruet-e-Hilal committee will also receive the evidence concerning the sighting of the crescent for the holy month of Ramadan. In Pakistan, the first fast of Ramadan is on February 19 (Thursday).

Eid-ul-Fitr 2026

If there will be 29 Rozas (fasts) in Pakistan, then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 will be on Friday, 19th March (date may vary).

Zakat and Sadaqah Al-Fitr 2026 in Pakistan

The Sadaqah Al Fitr differentiate from the annual payment of Zakat, and Muslims have to pay it before the Eid al-Fitr prayer.

This year, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for Zakat deduction on bank accounts at Rs. 503,529 for the current Islamic year. Under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance 1980, no Zakat would be deducted in case a bank account has less than Rs.503,529.

On the other hand, the amount of Sadaqah Al Fitr Rs.300, and everyone needs to pay it according to his/her financial conditions.
