Beware of Downloading Olivecash and Barwaqt Apps

Olivecash and Barwaqt Apps are stealing customers’ personal data.

Olivecash and Barwaqt applications have got tremendous hype because they are offering loans in Pakistan and allow the user’s multiple methods to receive the loan amount.

Recently, it’s been found that these apps including Olivecash and Barwaqt are indulge in fraudulent activities and are stealing the users’ personal information when they enter for getting a loan on interest.

The Cabinet Division has issued a warning about Olivecash and Barwaqt apps that are supposed to be involved in the collection of the users’ personal information. In this regard, the Cabinet Division has issued a letter to different government departments regarding those apps on Google Play Store offering money on interest but in fact, collecting data when consumers use them.

The copies of the letter have been sent to the Secretary to the Prime Minister, the DG Technical ISI, the Additional Secretary Cabinet Division, the Secretary to the President, the Cabinet Secretary, and the Director IT Cabinet Division.

There are various apps on Google Play Store that provide money on interest and it is highlighted that Olivecash and Barwaqt apps are involved in this scam.

Both Olivecash and Barwaqt apps are providing money on interest and when you install any of these apps and provide your personal information they collect it and used it for illegal purposes.

Therefore, the Cabinet Division has warned users to avoid downloading the Barwaqt app and Olivecash and don’t share their personal information with them.

The letter has also advised the associations to broadcast information about these loan applications to subordinate and associate departments and divisions and to certify obligatory security methods.
