How to Control Unwanted Notifications on WhatsApp? The massaging app WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that lets the users to control the unwanted notifications. The users of WhatsApp can also block the unwanted notifications with the help of this new feature.
Facebook-owned smart messaging service WhatsApp is now offering 10 notification channel categories, which users can control independently.
- Group Notifications
- Message Notifications
- Chat History Backup
- Critical App Alerts
- Failure Notifications
- Media Playback
- Uncategorised
- Other Notifications
- Sending Media
- Silent Notifications
Each of the above mentioned categories include different options and the users can turn on and off the notifications for each category, such as;
- Urgent (make sound and pop up on screen)
- High priority (make a sound)
- Medium priority (no sound)
- Low priority (no sound or visual interruption)
This new WhatsApp feature provides the different sound for each notification and permits the user to manage notification content show on smartphone lock screen.
You can access these categories by taping on the WhatsApp notification and select Category from the options that appear.
This new feature is currently accessible in the beta version of WhatsApp, revealed the Android Police.
