People of Pakistan will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on June 17 or 18? Eid-ul-Adha 2024 in Pakistan on Monday 17th of June. At Eid-ul-Adha Muslims sacrifice animals after Hajj every year to commemorate Hazarat Ibrahim’s enthusiasm to sacrifice his son for Allah Almighty.

Eid ul Adha, also known as Bakra Eid or the Festival of Sacrifice, is an important Islamic holiday celebrated in Pakistan and around the world in Muslim countries. Traditionally, Eid-ul-Adha falls on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, following the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. The Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, so the date of Eid ul Adha varies each year from the Gregorian calendar.

To the declaration of the final date of Eid ul Adha in Pakistan for 2024, the local Islamic authorities, and the Pakistan Meteorological Department, provide announcements regarding the sighting of the Zilhaj moon and the subsequent declaration of the Eid holiday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted the chance of sighting the new moon of Zilhaj 2024 in Pakistan.  On June 8 there are chances of a new moon of Zilhajj 2024. Therefore the Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan will fall on 17th June.

If the Zilhaj moon not sighted on the eve of June 8 and the Eidul Adha will fall on 18th June in Pakistan.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will officially declare the sighting of the Zilhaj Moon 2024 and also about the Eid-ul-Adha in Pakistan.

On the other hand, the people in Saudi Arabia will celebrate the Eid-ul-Adha on Sunday, 16th June 2024.
