The First Muharram Will Start on the eve of the 30th of July and the 9th and 10th Muharram in Pakistan will be on 8 August and 9 August 2022.

Islamic Year 1444 Hijri is all set to begin on the night of Saturday, 30th July. The first Muharram 2022 in Pakistan will start on Saturday and on 31st July Sunday will be the first day of Muharram.

Commonly after the month of Zilhajj people search about when will be the first Muharram, the beginning of the new Islamic year.

As per the reports, the Islamic Year 1444 Hijri is all set to begin in Pakistan on the eve of the 30th of July, and on the 31st of July, Sunday will be the first day of Muharram in Pakistan.

 The details revealed that the 1st Muharram 2022 in Pakistan will be on the evening of 30th July and will last in the month of August.

The new Islamic year in Pakistan falls on the movement of the moon. In Pakistan, the Ruit-e-Hilal Committee is responsible for the sighting of the new moon. The committee will meet on Friday to sight the Muharram moon 2022 in Pakistan.

The Ruit-e-Hilal Committee under the leadership of  Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has officially declared the arrival of the new Islamic year 1444 Hijri in Pakistan.  All the Islamic proceedings are contingent on the observation of the new moon.

Muharram stated as Al-Hijra is the first month of the Islamic year. Muharram means “Forbidden”. Muharram is the holiest month of the Islamic year including Ramadan.

There are 12 months of the Islamic year and here is the list of months in Islamic Calander:

All the Muslims in the world celebrate the New Year with the sighting of the new Muharram moon. It’s the most sacred month in which people keep fast and the tenth day of Muharram is called Ashura, which to Shia Muslims is part of the sadness of Muharram.

Official Announcement of Muharram 2022 in Pakistan:

The official announcement of the Muharram 2022 in Pakistan was made by the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under the supervision of Chairman  Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad after sighting the Muharram moon today, on the eve of 29th July. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Friday 29th July could not sight the Muharram-ul-Haram moon and the first of Muharram will be Sunday.
