Welcome to 2009 again because Google instant search is no more available for mobile phones. Google has introduced the instant search in 2010 which shows the instant results as you start typing your query, but today this search is no more available for mobile phone searches.
Google today declared that it is killing its instant search in mobile phone searches. But it does not mean you will not see the suggestions of your typed queries. You will still able to see the result of your query but after enter of click on the suggestion.
Google instant search is available for computers but it made no sense on mobile phones due to its screen size as half of the screen is covered by the keyboard when typed.
