Here’s How Overseas Pakistani Can Travel Back Without Visa? The government of Pakistan has decided to eradicate the requirements of the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) and now they can travel back to their country without visa.
The spokesperson of Ministry of Overseas Pakistani (MOP) on Tuesday announced that overseas Pakistani are not going to require any paperwork such as NICOP to travel back to Pakistan as they can travel without visa.
It’s another wonderful step of the newly formed government of Pakistan for facilitating the Pakistani expatriates at maximum level.
The government of Pakistan has taken this decision to abolish the requirement of the NICOP after the recommendation of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan after pondering over the recommendation of the Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari has decided to end the requirement of the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
The spokesperson added,
“Now overseas Pakistani can travel to Pakistan without visa”.
What is NICOP?
A NICOP is the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis who have the dual nationality. If you are Pakistani and also have the nationality of other country, or born to the Pakistani parents origin or married to a Pakistani national you need to have the NICOP to travel to the South Asian country without a visa.
Why NICOP was Important?
The NICOP was earlier mandatory for the people of Pakistan with dual nationality, so they can easily travel to Pakistan without the requirement of Visa. But now they can travel to the country without the requirement of NICOP.
