A few days ago the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has announced the launch of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme named as “Mera Ghar”. In order to provide houses to homeless people, the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has planned to build houses as a part of its elections policy. During the election campaign and after assuming office, PM announced to build as many as 5 million low-cost houses for the poor people.
In the first phase of the project, the houses would be built in Gilgit-Baltistan, while the rest four provinces would also be the part of ‘Mera Ghar’ scheme later. After the official announcement of the Mera Ghar scheme by the Prime Minster of Pakistan Imran Khan, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has started issuing the registration forms.
As per the first phase of the project the new houses will be built for homeless people in seven districts including Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sukkur, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Swat. In order to accomplish the project, the government has to make responsible NADRA for gathering the data from people.

Eligibility criteria:
As per the rules only one person from a family can apply for this scheme.
Only those candidates can grab their hands on those who do not own any independent residential unit in Pakistan.
Those whose monthly income around Rs10,000-25,000 is eligible to apply.
The housing authority will select the housing requirements including design, amount, and site for the candidates based on the data provided in the registration forms.
Registration Charges?
Rs.250 PKR will be needed to deposit along with the registration form.

Last date for submitting application form:
The applicants can submit the form at the selected district offices mentioned above within two months.
The registration process will start from 22nd October and will end on 22nd December.

There is good news for the people want to register for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, the National Database and Registration Authority has introduced an online form submission facility in order to facilitate citizens who are facing problems in submitting the application forms.
Director NADRA Rizwan Haider has revealed this initiative while talking to PTV News, he said that the decision of providing online facility has been taken keeping in view the difficulties faced by common citizens in form submission for the housing scheme.
The second phase for the registrations of Naya Pakistan Housing Program has been started all over Pakistan and the people can apply for having their own house through an online process.
The online registration process for the second phase for the registrations of Naya Pakistan Housing Program is opened from 15th of July, 2019 and will remain for the next three months so the people can easily register by paying the registration fee which is just Rs.250.
All the deserving families can apply for this scheme across Pakistan for having the possession of their own houses in the city/place of their choice. The government will collaborate with the private builders/developers in all districts including Major Cities, i.e Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Quetta etc in order to launch the housing projects across Pakistan for the registered families.
The registration of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme is now available for online application submission with the fee of Rs. 250 only.

Now the registration process for the of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme is made online by NADRA, which is an extremely easy process so the people not only from Pakistan but the overseas Pakistanis can also register themselves by using the online portal.
Where to pay the registration fee?
If you want to apply online for the second phase of Naya Pakistan Housing Program you can pay the registration fee through mobile phone, Easy Paisa, NADRA, credit card, debit card and online facility.
Here are some terms who can apply?
Those who belong to low-income families.
Don’t own their house.
Having a valid CNIC/NICOP.
Only a single person from the family can apply (, i.e. either husband or wife, or a dependent child).
Those who have registered already in the first phase of registrations last year, do not need to re-register themselves in phase 2 because they will already include in the balloting.
How to apply online?
You need to open the website nphp.nadra.gov.pk and following the fee payment process, they can fill the registration form online and submit it on the portal.
You have to make an online payment of Rs.250 to NADRA registration fee through mobile phone, Easy Paisa, NADRA, credit card, debit card, and online facility.
If you have a valid credit/debit card, then simply log on to nphp.nadra.gov.pk and click on the “Register Online” button.
If you do not have a credit/debit card, you first need to make payment of the registration fee through mobile phone, Easy Paisa, NADRA, or E-Sahulat branches.
The overseas Pakistan who wants to apply for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme can use the Easypaisa/jazz cash apps to make payment of the registration fee. They can easily top up their Easypaisa/JazzCash mobile accounts through online bank transfer and can pay the Rs.250 registration fee against their CNIC/NICOP.
After paying the registration fee you need to simply open the above-mentioned website and click on the “Register Online” button.
After you click, a pop-up screen will come up to show you instructions and terms & conditions and after accepting the terms and conditions you can click on the “Proceed” button.
You will see the first page of Online Registrations and here you need to provide your CNIC/NICOP number and then insert the captcha code and click “Submit & Continue”.
If you have already paid your registration fee you need to skip the step-2 and then you will be in the step-3 where you need to provide your personal information and housing requirement, (i.e. name, mobile number, monthly income, number of family members, required bedrooms, the monthly installment that you can pay, and the city of your choice.)
If you have not paid your fee then you need to pay the registration fee on step-2, and you can choose the credit card method to submit your registration fee.
Once you provide the registration fee and fill the form after providing your personal details you can simply review the entries and submit your form.
After the submission of form, you will get an online registration receipt which you can either print/download or send to your email address.
If you don’t have the internet you can also visit any nearest NADRA E-Sahulat Center to fill & submit their form.

The second phase for the registrations of Naya Pakistan Housing Program has been opened from the 15th of July and will be for the next three months till 15th of October, 2019.
Important Note:
It is important to mention here that registrations for the housing scheme do not guarantee that you will be allotted a house at the time of project launch because all the allotment will be made through computerized balloting.
