Cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for the ICC World Cup 2023, but there is also a bad piece of news for them. ICC World Cup 2023 is all set to kick off on October 5 in India with the opening match between the defending champions, England and New Zealand, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The ICC World Cup 2023 opening ceremony was scheduled for 4 October 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium but has been canceled.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to conceal the ICC World Cup 2023 opening ceremony. This will be the first time in the history of ODI World Cup editions that there will be no official opening ceremony before the opening fixture between England and New Zealand on October 5th.

Earlier, BCCI was to organize the lavish opening ceremony of the World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 4th October. On the other hand, BCCI will arrange a closing ceremony before the India vs. Pakistan clash.
