There is a good piece of news and that’s the Pakistanis Company Jolta Electric has officially launched the first e-bike today.
Pakistan’s first e-bike launching ceremony was held today which was attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Addressing the launching ceremony of the Jolta Electric bike PM said that there is a need to make eco-friendly vehicles and the government was working on laying out an eco-friendly roadmap for the country in order to prevent the future generation from global warming.
He said that government will devise durable policies for the protection of the environment and to materialize the vision of a clean and green Pakistan. He said that we should work on the plans to overcome the negative environmental effects so as to give the liveable place to future generations.
He said that the arrival of the e-vehicles is the need of the day as they would help reduce environmental pollution.
He mourned how the earlier governments had failed to take measures to defend the environment, stressing the value of the Billion Tree Tsunami plan of the government.
The launching of the e-bike in Pakistan is part of the current government’s five-year Pakistan Electric Vehicles Policy 2020-2025, standard last year and visualized aiming a vigorous electric vehicle market having a 30% and 90% share in commuter vehicles and heavy-duty trucks by 2030 and 2040 correspondingly.
The significant characteristics of the policy comprise a phased evolution of the automobile industry, as it will be casing two and three-wheelers and heavy commercial vehicles offering inducement to producers.
The launch of Pakistan’s first e-bike by the local company Jolta Electric is a step in the direction of stimulating the country’s automobile industry.
Jolta e-bike variants and capacity:
The Jolta e-bike which looks like the 70cc motorcycle will be available in different variants such as JE-70, JE-70 L, JE-70 D, JE-100 L, JE-125 L, JE-Scooty, JE-Sports Bike. These models of Jolta e-bikes have various speed options from 10 to 60 kilometers per hour.
You can run them from 80 to 100 kilometers after a full charge. The batteries in the bike (12-volt five dry batteries) will have a three-month warranty and a two-year average life. The price of the battery is Rs20,000.
