Kashmir Day Will be Celebrated As a Public Holiday in Pakistan on Feb 5

The government of Pakistan has announced the official public holiday on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day which is being commemorated every year on 5th February 2024.

A press release issued by The Cabinet Division of Pakistan on Friday revealed that there would be a public holiday on Kashmir Day on 5th February in Pakistan. The holiday is to signify the “Kashmiris political and moral support in their struggle for self-determination” who have been living under Indian rule since 1947.

An official notification has been issued regarding the official Kashmir Day holiday in the country. The press release revealed that a one-minute silence shall be observed at 10:00 hours on the same day to honor Kashmiri martyrs.

The caretaker government of Sindh has also announced a public holiday on 5th February 5 to honor the sacrifices of Kashmiris in the Indian-occupied valley.
