Local Beauty Creams or Skin Whitening Creams Can Cause Skin Cancer and Organ damage
A new report by BBC London has revealed that a number of Pakistani Local manufactures’ beauty creams available in the UK are of third class and include cheap and harmful material.
The reports claimed that the creams known as beauty creams and skin whitening creams are harmful for the skin and may cause organ damage and skin cancer. Popularly known local skin whitening creams contain harmful chemicals like bleaching agent hydroquinone and toxic mercury.
Trading Standards has started a crackdown against the Fifteen London businesses selling unsafe cosmetics products mentioned in the video below. The businesses were fined £168,579 for selling unsafe Skin Whitening cosmetics as they contained dangerous and prohibited levels of hydroquinone, mercury or corticosteroids.
It is important to mention here that skin whitening and beauty creams shown in the video are widely popular in Pakistan and a huge number of people are using them regularly.
