The Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced the much-awaited decision Panamagate case today on 28th July, 2017 at 11: 30 am. The 5-member bench leaded by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, has declared the decision of Panamagate case
The five member bench also includes two judges Justice Khosa and Justice Gulzar who previously disqualified PM Nawaz Sharif in the case.
The 5-member bench includes Justices Asif Saeed Khosa, Ejaz Afzal Khan, Gulzar Ahmed, Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Ijazul Ahsan for the hearing of Panamagate case.
Panama Papers accused the PM Nawaz Sharif, sons and daughter among world leaders who use tax refuge to conceal their wealth.
The Supreme Court had completed hearing of the Panamagate case and kept its verdict on 21st July.
The Panamagate case verdict was declared by the 5 member bench at the Courtroom 1 of the Supreme Court building.
JIT report and Sharif family:
The Panamagate case is about suspected money laundering by Sharif in 1990s and brought properties in London, when he twice become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The hidden assets of PM surfaced when Panama Papers leak last year. The Panama Papers exposed PM and his children own offshore companies. Panama Papers leak leaded NAB to open a reference against the prime minister and his children.
The Supreme Court had taken notice of the petitioners and defendants in the Panamagate case. After the mutual investigation JIT team had presented its report on the Sharif family’s financial dealings on 10th July 2017.
Panamagate Case Decision:
The 5-member bench includes Justices Asif Saeed Khosa, Ejaz Afzal Khan, Gulzar Ahmed, Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Ijazul Ahsan for the hearing of Panamagate case has found the PM Nawaz Sharif guilty of money laundering and they disqualified him.

In the decision SC ordered NAB to submit reference report in 6 weeks and to file case against PM and his family.

The petitioners included Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed and Jamaat-e-Islami head Sirajul Haq.
