The government of Punjab is once again to launch the free wi-fi hotspot in public areas. The newly elected Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced free wifi hotspots across the province. The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will execute the project of hotspots installation in public areas.
Initially, the free Wi-Fi will be available in different public places including educational institutions, hospitals, bus stops, and railway stations.
Previously, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif officially launched 200 free wifi hotspots across the province during his tenure in 2013.
The Wifi service restoration will surely benefit the public by offering free internet access in key locations, promoting connectivity and facilitating transmission.
