The Saudi Arabian moon gazer Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of the Emirates Astronomy Society, predicts that the Ramadan Moon 2024 will be sighted in the country on 10th March. Therefore, the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Monday 11th March, while on the 10th of April, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to fall.

According to details, the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Abdul Khabir Azad will supervise the session in Peshawar on 11th March to see the Ramadan moon and 1st Roza 2024 in Pakistan will be on March 12.
1st Ramadan 2024 in Pakistan:
The 1st Ramadan 2024 in Pakistan is likely to be on 11th March, however, there is little chance of the moon sighting on 10th March. therefore, the 1st Roza 2024 in Pakistan will be on March 12.
Eid al-Fitr 2024 in Pakistan:
Eid al-Fitr, meaning ‘Festival of Breaking the Fast’, is a significant occasion for Muslims that follows the month of Ramadan. If there are 30 Rozas (fasts) in Pakistan, then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 will be on the 11th of April.
Muslims celebrate Eid for up to three days, Eid al-Fitr 2024 in Pakistan will not begin till the sighting of the Shawwal moon. The Eid is all set to start on the 11th of April.
Zakat and Sadaqah Al-Fitr in 2024:
The Sadaqah Al Fitr differs from the annual payment of Zakat; Muslims have to pay it before the Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in 2021 has fixed the Nisab for Zakat deduction on bank accounts at Rs. 46,329, for the current Islamic year. Under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance 1980, no Zakat will be on a bank account that has less than Rs.46,329.
The official statement the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony issued regarding the Sadaqah Al Fitr in Pakistan in 2024 will be posted.
On the other hand, the amount of Sadaqah Al Fitr has not yet been announced by the concerned authorities. Last year, the Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, declared that the minimum sadqa al fitar is Rs.100, and everyone needs to pay it according to his/her financial conditions.
For the last few years, the Sadaqah Al Fitr was as per wheat rate, Rs.100, Rs.400 for barley, and Raisins rates were Rs.1600 per person.
Roza Fidiya was Rs.1200 as per barley rate and Rs.48,000 as per dates and Raisins rates.
Roza na rakhne ka Kaffara was to feed 60 poor people or to give Rs.6,000 for wheat, Rs. 24,400 for barley, Rs. 96,000 for dates and Rs. 1,53,600 for raisin.
Ramadan 2024 timings for government offices in Pakistan
The Establishment Division announced the Ramadan timings for government offices. As per a notification, federal government institutions will now operate from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, five days a week.

The government of Balochistan also announced Ramadan timing for offices will remain open from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday.
Sindh government has also announced offices with a five-day working will remain open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday.
As per the notification, the offices operating six days a week will remain open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday.
