Pakistan and South Africa ODI Matches Series to Start From January 19

The ODI Matches Series between Pakistan and South Africa to start on 19th January, 2019 and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declared the 16-member squad.

After the three test matches series between Pakistan and South Africa the ODI Matches Series is all set to begin on 19th January, 2019 in St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially declared the 16-member squad for the five-one-day series against South Africa. Chairman Selection Committee Inzamam ul Haq announced the team during the press conference in Lahore.

There were five changes made in the team against South Africa for the Test series. Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Hussein Talwat, Usman Shinwari and Umad Waseem were made the part of the team in place of Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Harris Sohail, Mohammad Abbas and Yasir Shah.

Now the Chairman Selection Committee Inzamam ul Haq announced the ODI Squad for the five ODI matches series that is going to start from 19th January, 2019.

In the squad, Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Baburam, Fahim Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Ali, Hussain Talat, Imram ul Haq, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shahin Afridi, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik and Usman Induction are included.

On the other hand Asif Ali, Junaid Khan and Haris Sohail won’t be the part of the ODI Squad in accordance on the match draw against New Zealand series in UAE.

While answering the answering of the question about the fast bowler Mohammad Abbas, Inzmam ul Haq revealed that he is the part of our planning, but we have to look at his workload wisely, he has just returned from the injury, so we can make future competitions. For them to give proper comfort.

Inzmam ul Haq further said that Mohammad Amir automatically qualified for the ODI Squad due to his good performance in the Test series, but also helped in his decision to provide proper comfort to Mohammad Abbas.

Chairman of the Selection Committee said that Junaid Khan was not considered for this tour because we consider that he needs to do more work on his bowling. Due to fitness problems, he also shortened the series against New Zealand.
