Petrol Price Likely To Decrease By Up To Rs. 5. The petrol price in Pakistan is likely to go down by up to Rs.5. the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has suggested to decrease the petrol price by Rs. 5.26 per litre.
After the surge of petro price for the past several months, consumers are likely to get some relief as the prices may go down up to Rs. 5.26 per liter. The new petrol prices will come in effect from 1st April, 2018.
In this regard OGRA has sent a recommendation letter to the federal government.
The regulation body has suggested the government to increase the per litre cost of light speed diesel by Rs. 0.55 and kerosene oil by Rs. 0.13 per litre.
If the OGRA summery got approved by the federal government by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the new petrol price will be Rs. 82.
But the prices of other petroleum products are to go high as well; the high-speed diesel may face an increase of Rs0.65 with the new price of Rs. 99.10 per litre from the existing Rs. 98.45 per litre.
The price of LDO, which is mainly used for industrial purposes, may increase for Rs. 0.55. increasing from Rs.65.30 to Rs.65.85.
On the other hand the price of kerosene oil may be increased from Rs76.46 to Rs76.59 per litre with an increase of Rs0.13 per litre.
According to the view of some of the industry experts government will not decrease the petrol price for up to Rs. 5.26 per liter. The federal government might decrease it up to Rs. 3.
