As in Pakistan Eid Ul Azha is coming soon so many of us used to rush in nearby animal markets for buying special one to sacrifice this eid. Excitement & Joy make us unaware of diseases, viruses exists there. CONGO VIRUS becomes so common as it has taken hold on domestic and wild animals certain cases are reported in reference to CONGO VIRUS .  Infected animals are transmitting this virus in other animals and humans.

During this year 2016, many cases are reported which become the reason of lethal death. Congo Virus is called as Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever in medical term. It transmitted through ticks from one infected animal to other and same is the case with humans.

Congo Virus known as Nairovirus is member of the Bunyaviridae family of RNA viruses that is transmitted through blood or other fluids from the infected animals and humans. Its main agent is Tick that flew from one to other and there starts incubating period ranges 1-3 days or 9 days.

  • diarrhea,
  • nausea
  • abdominal pain
  •  sleepiness

  • enlarged lymph nodes
  • rash in the mouth & on the skin.
  •  kidney deterioration
  •  liver failure
  • Lungs failure

Treatment :

CONGO VIRUS is treated by antiviral drug Ribavirin that must start immediately after the virus detection
