Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will see Muharram 2016 Moon on October 1 in Pakistan

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is all set to see the Muharram 2016 Moon, 1438 Hijri, on 1st October in Pakistan, informed by Chief Administrator of Sindh Auqaf Department.
The committee’s members will gather for the Muharram 2016 Moon in Pakistan at Meteorological Department’s office on the University Road in Karachi.
Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar and the new Islamic year for Muslims. Muharram is also a time of remembrance or mourning at the sacrifices of Hussein ibn Ali on the Day of Ashura.
At Ashura various religious activities will be carried out such as spiritual singing and the recitation of Koranic verses. Since special prayers and addresses are piloted in public halls and mosques at night.

Muharram Moon 2016 Sighted in Pakistan: 1st Muharram And Islamic New Year Starts on 2nd October
There will be  2 Public holidays at Ashura/Muharram.
If the Muharram Moon is not sighted on 1st October then the 1st Muharram 2016 will begin in Pakistan on 2nd October and 3rd October Monday will be the day of 1st Muharram.
