AIOU to Open Matric to PhD Admissions From Thursday

AIOU open Matric to PhD admissions from Thursday. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will open Matric to PhD-level admissions from Thursday, with a number of new academic programs.

The academic session (Spring 2018) is expected to enhance the University students’ enrolment that has already reached to 1.3 million. According to Directorate of Admissions, besides the degree programs, short-courses of professional nature will also be launched with the new academic session.

Online admission forms will also be available to facilitate the students. The University’s website has also been upgraded to keep the students informed about the new developments relating to admission, examination and mailing of books.

AIOU’s new admissions from February 1. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will open its admissions for the Semester Spring, 2018 from SSC to PhD-level in various disciplines from 1st February. Last date for the admission will be March 5.

To facilitate the Students at their door-steps, AIOU has advised new applicants to obtain the admission forms and prospectuses for all programmes offered in Semester Spring, 2018 from its countrywide 44-Regional Campuses and more than 100-Coordinating Offices across the country., the University has paced complete addresses with phone numbers of all Offices at its website www.aiou.edu.pk.

All Regional Campuses will set-up ‘special camp’ at their offices for guidance of the students. Similarly the Admission Department will also provide maximum facilities to the applicants in taking admission in their desired discipline as well as ensuring availability of admission forms at nearest places.

AIOU’s Postponed Papers to be Conducted on January 12 and 15. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will conduct its postponed exams for the Semester Spring, 2017 on January 12 and 15.
These exams were earlier scheduled to take place on 27th and 28th November which were postponed throughout the country due to law and order situation.

According to Controller of Exams revised roll number slips have been issued to all the concerned students. Exams centers and timing will remain unchanged.

AIOU Launches Degree Programs on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’ Study. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has revealed that they will soon launch academic programs, Master, M.Phil and PhD- level on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’.

AIOU  Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui while addressing a ‘Mehfil-e-Naat’, held here at the University’s main campus as a part of ‘Jashan-e—Milad un Nabi’ (PBUH) has declared the launch of Degree Programs on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’ Study. The event was arranged by the University’s Employees Welfare Association (EWA).

He declared that the University will held competition for writing books on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’ on annual basis and the best book will be awarded special prize.The University will continue to lay greater focus on projection of the teachings of Quran and Sunnah through diversified activities in order to motivate the students to follow the same.

A research journal on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi was recently published by the University that has been declared the best academic publication of the year 2017. The AIOU won four other national awards on promotion of ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’.

It was for first time that that AIOU was declared the best one among the higher educational institutions on writing research journal and articles by the Federal Ministry of Religious affairs with five awards.

Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said, it was great pride to secure a leading position in projecting the teachings of Islam, particularly in context of Seerat-un-Nabi. The teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) is a best source of inspiration and guidance for having a successful life here and hereafter, he added.

Earlier, the President EWA Sajjad Mahmood Janjua thanked the Vice Chancellor for accepting almost all the demands relating to the welfare of the low-grade employees. Naat-Khawan who participated in the event included Hafiz Noor Sultan Siddiqui, Alhaj Shahzad Hanif Madani, Qari Rehan Habib Soharwardi, Fakhar Abbas Kohoot and Hafiz Mansoor Ali.

AIOU Starts Sending Books To Its Students. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has completed the process of mailing books and study materials to its overseas Pakistani students.
According to the University’s Mailing Department, the process of sending books to domestic as well as foreign students living in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain has been undertaken on fast-track basis as per the road-map given by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui.

Now AIOU Students Can Apply for PM Laptop Scheme 2017-18

On the directives of the Vice Chancellor, a new computerized tracking system has been introduced, facilitating its thousands of students to check books’ mailing status.
The new computerized tracking system has recently been developed through which the student using website can simply enter his/her roll number and registration number to track the mailing package.
