The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 eighth edition is all set to kick off in England from 1st June.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 will start on 1st June and remain till18th June under the England and Wales Cricket Board. Total eight teams are participating in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

After the official declaration by the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the squads of the participating teams on Wednesday.

ICC Champion Trophy 2017 is all set to begin on 1st June in England and the head of National Selection Committee, Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has declared the 15-member squad.

A Statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) read as,

 “The team has been selected keeping in mind the conditions and the recent performances of some players in domestic and international tours”.

The former skipper Azhar Ali and Umar Akmal will also be the part of the squad.

The traditional rival Pakistan and India in Group B and will face each other on 4th June; the Indian team will try to defend the title.

The other three rival Australia, England and New Zealand are included in the group A.

England will have the honor of hosting the event for the third time. England team reached to final twice but first time defeated by West Indies while from India the second time.

Teams participating in the event are divided into two different groups. World champions Australia, England, New Zealand and Bangladesh teams are in Group A while Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and South Africa in Group B.

The opening match of the ICC Champion Trophy 2017 will be played between England and Bangladesh. On the other hand Pakistani team will play its first match on 4th June against traditional rival India, second match against South Africa on June 7, while the third and final match against Sri Lanka on June 12.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. Semi-finals will be played on 14 and 15 June while the final of the ICC Champion Trophy 2017 is scheduled for 18th June.

The traditional rival Pakistan and India in Group B and will face each other on 4th June; the Indian team will try to defend the title.

The other three rival Australia, England and New Zealand are included in the group A.

The draft ceremony for the second Edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was inaugurated on Wednesday, 19th October 2016 in Dubai. There will be same number of cricket teams in the Twenty20 second edition of Pakistan Super League 2017.

In the PSL 2 the number of cricket teams will remain the same as in PSL 1. The cricket teams in PSL 2 2017 are Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators.

PCB has declared the second Edition of Pakistan Super League. The PSL 2 is all set to start in February, 2017 in United Arab Emirates.

There will be same number of cricket teams in the Twenty20 second edition of Pakistan Super League 2017.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sped up its preparation for the PSL 2.

The preparations for the second season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been sped up by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The categorization of the 444 cricket players will be done on 19th October in United Arab Emirates (UAE). There would be the selection of players for five teams.

The teams for PSL2 include:

  • Karachi Kings
  • Lahore Qalandars
  • Peshawar Zalmi
  • Quetta Gladiators
  • Islamabad United

Drafting of Players for PSL2:

  • Platinum category includes 28 cricketers like Misbah-ul-Haq, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Eoin Morgan, Chris Gale, Malinga and Watson

 

  • Diamond has 33 players including Yasir Shah, Kamran Khan, Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Amir, Brad Hayden and England’s Moin Ali

 

  • Gold has 74

 

  • Silver has 255 includes Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif

 

  • Emerging category includes 24 cricketers

 

The total price of the team was increased to Rs 120 million from Rs 110 million.
