4th Mega Leather Show 2018 to Start on Jan 27. The Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers Association (PFMA) in collaboration with Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) held a press conference at a local hotel in Lahore on 25th January 2018 to announce the 4th Pakistan Mega Leather Show 2018 (PMLS18). The senior members of both the bodies were present at the press conference. The PMLS18 is scheduled to be held on 27th till 29th of January, 2018 at Lahore International Expo Centre.

The press conference was addressed by; Mr. Farrukh Saleem (Chairman PFMA), Mr.  Abid Hafeez (Sr. Vice Chairman PFMA) & Convener-PMLS-2018, Mr. Aman Ullah Aftab (Chairman PTA), Mr. Mansoor Iqbal (Sr. Vice chairman PTA) and Mr. Muhammad Musaddiq (PTA) Co-Convener-PMLS-2018.

This 2nd largest event of Southeast Asia will be inaugurated by Mr. Mohammad Pervaiz Malik and special participation is also confirmed by His Excellency Dr. Stefano Pontecorvo ambassador for Italy in Pakistan.

Pakistan Mega Leather Show is a series of vibrant, annual events promoting a wide range of leather products; including Footwear, Garments, Gloves, etc. This event will attract international customers towards the tremendous potential that exists in the leather sector of Pakistan to provide a viable platform for nurturing stronger ties or collaborations between the allied industries of the Leather Sector of Pakistan. The event also features a special exhibition of the high-quality products being produced by the leather Footwear-Manufacturing industry and leather goods of Pakistan. The PMLS 2018 will attract potential buyers and investors from China, India, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Cyprus, USA, UAE, Spain and Tunisia.

The Chairman of PFMA – Mr. Farrukh Saleem and Chairman PTA Mr. Amanullah Aftab during the ceremony commented on the great potential of Pakistan’s leather industry and stated that;

“Pakistan Mega Leather Show 2018 is the second largest footwear and Leather exhibition in the world. Production and tanning of leather along with manufacturing of leather-goods is the second biggest export-oriented industry in the manufacturing sector of Pakistan. It is the third largest contributor towards the overall exports of the country. The rapid growth of this industry has attracted many international buyers to invest into training facilities for this labor-intensive industry. These investments will improve the technical skills of the labor involved in manufacturing leather goods”.

The Pakistan Mega Leather Show is jointly orchestrated by four highly resourceful industrial associations including; footwear, leather goods, tanneries, gloves and leather garments. The PMLS 2018 promises to be the biggest exhibition of leather-based products in the country’s history. This event will feature 100 national and international exhibitors. The foreign exhibitors also include many Chinese organizations, who have shown keen interest in the growing leather industry of Pakistan. This marvelous event will be attended by many International Footwear Journalists, Footwear designers and buyers of footwear and leather-goods.

The event will provide great business opportunities and valuable information for entrepreneurs, investors and all other stakeholders of this promising industry. Given the sheer scale of this show and its benefits for these businesses, the organizers have always received an overwhelming response from the customers and stakeholders. Maximum participation is also expected from the Government sector. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industries and other regulatory institutions are providing unprecedented support for this event too.

SECP Registered Over 4,000 New Companies This Year. With the registration of 4,954 new companies during the first half of the current fiscal year with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) the number of companies have been increased to 83,879. According to SECP sources, as compared to last year, there has been 44 percent growth registered in the new companies this year that indicate the growth in the industrial sector of the country.

The details released by the SECP , there has been massive increase in number of new companies due to various reform measures taken by the government and simplification of incorporation procedure, reduction in fee. About 82 percent of companies were registered as private limited companies, while around 16 percent were registered as single-member companies.

The data indicated that two percent of the companies were registered as public listed, non-profit associations, trade organizations and foreign companies> The trading sector took the lead with the incorporation of 783 companies, services with 729, construction with 625, information technology with 599, tourism with 274, food and beverages with 164, engineering with 155, education with 148, corporate agricultural farming with 126, real estate development with 106, transport with 100, pharmaceutical with 86, textile with 77, communication with 76, fuel and energy with 75, auto and allied and healthcare with 71 each, cable and electric goods with 58, broadcasting and telecasting with 57, chemical with 55, power generation with 47, paper and board with 46, mining and quarrying with 45, steel and allied with 38, cement with 9 and 334 companies were registered in other sectors.
Moreover, 35 foreign companies were also registered by SECP in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad while foreign investment has been reported in 329 new companies.
These companies have foreign investors from Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, South Korea, Lebanon, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, the UK, Ukraine and the US.

All Pakistan Business Forum’ lauds decision to increase trade with Italy

Pakistan and Italy have recently agreed to increase bilateral trade to $1.5 Billion, raising it from the current volume of $1 Billion (fiscal year 2016-2017). The ‘All Pakistan Business Forum’ (APBF) has lauded this decision made by the Pakistan-Italy ‘Joint Economic Commission’ (JEC), during some high-level meetings.

The President of APBF – Mr. Ibrahim Qureshi congratulated Italy’s Deputy Minister for Economic Development – Mr. Ivan Scalfarotto – who was leading a 25-member, distinguished delegation from Italy, on an official visit to Pakistan. Mr. Qureshi stated that: The business communities in both countries fully realize the importance and vast potential of trade between our two friendly nations. Some key areas for cooperation have already been identified, along with an agreement to nurture greater economic ties, to gain mutual benefits.

The President of APBF appreciated the strong diplomatic cooperation and efforts of the Italian government and assured the Italian delegates that; “Pakistan wants to further enhance its socio-economic ties with Italy. The business community in both countries will work together to foster  trade relations, through bigger exhibitions and stronger Business-To-Business contacts, supported by the two governments. We are also thankful to Italy for supporting Pakistan in getting the ‘GSP plus’ from EU.”

Mr. Ivan Scalfarotto stated that: “The Italian delegation visited Pakistan to explore more business and investment opportunities, while taking keen interest in various economic sectors, like: trade, infrastructure, technology, agriculture, food, Textiles, Fashion, Railways and ports.

The total volume of trade between Pakistan and Italy stands at $1.1 billion. We are now seeking long-term relationships to enhance this bilateral trade to $1.5 billion.” He further added:

“We are really happy to see the rapid progress on the ‘China Pakistan Economic Corridor’ (CPEC), which is among the biggest, most promising projects for global development. It will revolutionize connectivity all over the region and beyond, with its benefits reaching billions of people around the world”.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Finance & Economic Affairs, Government of Pakistan – Mr. Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, was leading Pakistan’s team of learned delegates, who were conducting these trade-dialogues with Italy. He stated:

“We’ve had fruitful meetings and discussions with Italian business delegation and they have expressed their desire to explore numerous investment opportunities in Pakistan. Over the years, both nations have agreed to form four working-groups to work for reforms in key commercial sectors like; Energy & infrastructure development, trade & joint ventures, agriculture & agro Industries, Information-technology collaboration.”

The All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF) is a vibrant business association which promotes and protects the interests of the business community and a wide range of industries in Pakistan. It also advises reforms to the Government sector, regarding policy formulation, regulatory realignments and implementation in the commercial and industrial sectors of the economy. Over the years, APBF has been consistently playing a positive role in elevating the standards and facilitation of business activity in Pakistan.

Apple officially Launched Water Proof iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with Dual-Lens Camera

Apple has officially launched its long-awaited device iPhone 7 in special event in San Francisco on 7th September 2016. It will available for pre-order in the different countries of the world including, US, UK starting on 9th September, whereas the devices will be available in the stores from 16th September, 2016.

The both iPhone devices will also be available at pre-order starting the above mentioned dates in Australia, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, China, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, and Taiwan.

The new iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus include the improved water resistant and camera technology. Apple not only improved the quality of camera but also enhanced the storage capacity and battery life.

Both the iPhones got IP67 certified and are dust and water resistant and can resist water up to 1 meter and 30 minutes.

Wireless headphones:

Both the iPhones runs on iOS 10 operating system with Apple A10 Fusion.

Storage Capacity:

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has enhanced storage capacity. Both have 2 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage. The available of both the device may be of 128/256 GB, depend on the version.

The iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 include the non-removable batteries that offer 14 hours of talk time and 10 days of stand-by time for iPhone 7 and 21 hours talk time and 30 days stand-by time for the iPhone 7 Plus.

The iPhone 7 Plus will cost 32GB version at £719, 128GB version at £819 and 256GB at £919. Both the device will be available for grab on 16th September, 2016 in UK.

Availability and Price in US:

The iPhone 7 will be available having 32GB version at  $649, 128GB version at $749 and the 256GB version at   $849. The iPhone 7 Plus will cost 32GB version at $769, 128GB version at $869 and 256GB at $969. Both the device will be available for grab on 16th September, 2016 in US.

Availability and Price in India:

The iPhone 7 price in India will begin at Rs.60,000 for 32GB version, but the iPhone 7 Plus price in India is unknown yet.

The price of other variants of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is not known.

Both the iPhone devices will be available in India starting from 7th October, 2016.

  • 1/4 apple cider vinegar

Mix them well and apply on your hair. Let it dry well and rinse with water. You will see your hair become smooth and shiny.

It may cause allergy or redness with some substance in the clay. Allergy and redness can occur if you have sensitive skin.
