Lunar Eclipse, Blood Moon to Occur on 27th July 2018 in Pakistan and Other Countries  . On 27th July, 2018 skywatchers across the world will witness the longest total lunar eclipse or chand grahan of the 21st century. .This time there will be total eclipse with the blood moon in July, 2018 and the whole world except the U.S, will witness the moon turning into red.

The total phase of the darkness of the moon on Friday 27th July will last for 1 hour and 43 minutes, during which Earth’s natural satellite will turn a spectacular red or ruddy-brown color. From start to finish, the entire celestial event will last nearly 4 hours.

This time the blood moon or chand grahan will be a too different view than the 2017 solar eclipse, which darkened the skies for a few minutes as the moon passed in front of the sun.

The Friday, July 27 eclipse will be fully visible for 1 hour and 43 minutes and partially visible for 3 hours and 55 minutes from parts of South Africa and most of Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.

During the eclipse, Earth’s shadow obstructs the sun’s light, which otherwise reflects off the moon. A total lunar eclipse takes place when Earth’s dark umbral shadow finally covers the moon.

In July, Mars will also be the closest to Earth in 15 years and will appear brighter and larger.

This eclipse will be the second total lunar eclipse in 2018, after the one on 31st January.

Visibility of Lunar Eclipse 2018

The eclipse or blood moon will not be visible in North America and will have to wait until July 2020 to witness a lunar eclipse, according to NASA, The continents including Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America and the Middle East will be able to witness the longest blood moon of the 21st century.

Visibility of Lunar Eclipse 2018 in Pakistan and India:

The eclipse, blood moon, or chand grahan will be visible in Pakistan on 27th July. It will be visible in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Multan and other cities.

In India, the moon will also be visible for 1 hour and 43 minutes. It can be seen entirety in India at around 1.52 am on 28th June, and last till 2.43 am.

Total duration and time:

The longest duration of totality would be 1 Hour, 42 Minutes. It will start nearly at 10:14 PM PST and will last at 4:28 AM.

No worries for your eyes

Unlike with solar eclipses, you can watch the lunar eclipse with bared eyes there will be absolutely no risk to your eyesight. However, binoculars or a small telescope will be used to watch the details in the lunar surface.

Lunar Eclipse, Super Blue Blood Moon To Occur on 31st January, 2018 in Pakistan and Other Countries. The total Lunar Eclipse is all set to occur on 31st January 2018 in Pakistan and other countries of the world.

But on 31st January 2018 there will be a total lunar eclipse and Super Blue Blood Moon on a single day. A blue moon is a full moon that occurs twice in a month on the other hand the super moon appears slightly bigger because it is closer to the earth’s surface in its slightly elliptical orbit.

A blood moon on the other hand turns red when Earth’s shadow casts its spell at the time of a lunar eclipse.

This is the first time in 2018 after more than 150 years that the three lunar events will coincide, according to NASA.

The first lunar Eclipse, Chand Grahan of 2017 is to take place on 11th February 2017 in Pakistan. The first chand grahan will  be on Saturday on 11th February and will be visible in different cities of Pakistan.

There will be two lunar eclipses in the year 2017 one on 11th February and the second is on 17th August.

Lunar eclipse takes place in full moon night when the Earth comes in middle of sun and moon. In lunar eclipse, moon is safe to view from any side of the earth. Lunar eclipse happens twice in a year and usually moon become dark red termed as blood moon. Dates revealed of 2017 lunar eclipse are 11 February 2017 & 7 August 2017. On these two specific dates earth will play with sun and moon by coming in middle of them.

Lunar eclipse 2017 will be of two type as on 11th February eclipse will be of penumbral type that will take place at Asia Africa , Europe and America. On 7th August 2017 eclipse will be of partial type and will be visible in Asia, Africa , Europe and America.

In 2016 both times lunar eclipse is of penumbral type but 2017 will be great year as eclipse type will vary with each other. Penumbra region is that where of the shadow that is not completely covered from the rays of the sun so Penumbral eclipse is that type when moon only enters the Penumbra area of the Earth’s shadow while in partial type of eclipse moon enters partially in penumbra region.

When considering lunar eclipse calendar of 2016, 2017 & 2018. The years 2016 and 2018 will have same type of eclipse while 2017 lunar eclipse will be special due to different sort of eclipse type.

The Lunar Eclipse, Chand Grahan is to take place on Friday Night in Pakistan and India

There will be full Moon and the lunar eclipse or  Chand Grahan on 16th September 2016. The final Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 will be witnessed by the people around the world.

The continents including Europe, Australia, Asia, West in South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica, and Africa will see the Harvest moon eclipse (In skylore, the Harvest Moon is the full moon nearby to the autumn equinox, usually occurs in September, may also happens in October depending on occasion) on Friday night, whereas South America and North America will not be able to see the third and final chand grahan of the year 2016.

The people will living in South America and North America will have to wait until 2017 for watching the Lunar Eclipse.

The full moon in September, named as harvest moon because it’s a time when farmers are all set to harvest their crops.

The full moon in September had also got different names like the Barley Moon, the Worm Moon, the Full Corn Moon and the Crow Moon.

In the third lunar eclipse or chand grahan 2016 the full moon will pass through the umbra, or the blackest part of the Earth’s shadow, and the moon will turn into red and orange color.

Time of Third Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The third lunar eclipse 2016 will be visible to everyone without any special equipment. In other words people will see the chand grahan with their eyes. The penumbral lunar eclipse will happen at Friday night, 16th September 2016, starting at 09:55 pm.

Lunar Eclipse 2016 in Pakistan:

The lunar eclipse or chand grahan will be visible in the different cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Karachi, Multan and other cities.

The duration of the Lunar Eclipse in Pakistan will be of 3 hours. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the lunar eclipse will occur in the country starting from 09:55 pm and will last nearly at 1:54 PM. So the duration of chand grahan will be exactly three hours, 59 minutes and 16 seconds.

The weather may cause hurdle during the witness of the lunar eclipse in Pakistan but the sky will clear in different regions of the country including, Upper Punjab, Sind, South Punjab Balochistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, according to PMD.

Well for the desperate Lahories the chand grahan will be visible in Lahore as the weather condition is good. The full moon will be there and the people of Lahore will witness the entire moon eclipse.

Lunar Eclipse 2016 in India:

The Lunar eclipse or chand grahan 2016 will also be visible in the different cities of India including, New Delhi, Pune, Agra, Uttar Pardesh, Hyderabad,  Telangana and other cities.

The chand grahan in India will took place at 10:24 PM of Friday night and will end at 2:23 am.

First Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The first Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 had occurred in March and was witnessed by the people of several countries including United States, Canada, Iceland, Russia, Turkmenistan, Norway, Australia and other countries of the region.

Second Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The second Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 occurred on 18th August 2016, but most of the viewers were not able to witness the Chand Grahan because according to monitoring agencies, the Lunar Eclipse was nearly be visually unnoticeable. Only the viewers in Pacific Ocean near continents Australia and the Americas were to witness the Chand Grahan. The monitoring agencies had said that the chances of seeing Lunar Eclipse were very rare.

The Solar Eclipse, Suraj Grahan is to take place on Thursday on 1st September 2016 in Pakistan and other countries of the world. The Annular Solar Eclipse will be the partial Suraj Grahan and will not be visible in Asian Countries including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Fiji and other regions.

The solar eclipse will also not be visible in western countries including Europe, North America, South America and Australia.

However, some of the coastal areas of Australia may see the Suraj Grahan 2016.  The partial solar eclipse will be visible in Pretoria, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Port Louis in Mauritius, Harare and Windhoek.

The Solar Eclipse or Suraj Grahan will also be partially visible to Saudi Arabia and Yemen including Mecca and Medina.

The total duration of the Suraj Grahan will be of 3 minutes and 6 seconds and will occur in Lahore at 11:13 am on 1st September, 2016 but not be visible.

The Lunar Eclipse, Chand Grahan is to take place today on Thursday 18th August 2016 in Pakistan and other countries of the world.   it will be the second Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016, but most of the viewers will not be able to witness the Chand Grahan because according to monitoring agencies, the Lunar Eclipse will nearly be visually unnoticeable.
