Ramadan 2018 Moon: First Ramadan will be on May 17 in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Other Countries of the World. Fasting is one of the five mandatory pillars of Islam. Muslims keep fasts in the holy month of Ramadan and seeks Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. This year the holy month of Ramadan is to begin on 17th May 2018 in many countries around the world.

The Saudi Arabian moon gazers said that the Ramadan Moon 2018 not sighted in the country and therefore the holy month of Ramadan will begin on the evening of 16th May while on 17th May there will be the 1st Ramadan. Millions of Muslims around the world will begin the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday, 17th May 2018. After the declaration of the concerned authorities the holy month of Ramadan 2018 is due to begin in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Malaysia and Middle East countries.

On the other hand the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met today at the head office in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon 2018 in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman today in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon 2018 in Pakistan.

The Ruet-e-Hilal committee has received the evidence concerning sight of the crescent for the holy month of Ramadan 2018.

In Karachi, the sun set at 7:10 PM and the moon was observed 61 minutes after. Earlier the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had predicted that the Ramadan 2018 moon would likely be sighted on 16th May and the prediction of PMD proved accurate as the Ramadan 2018 moon is sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan on 17th May (Thursday).

The Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has announced that the Ramazan 2018 moon is sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan ul Mubarak will be on 17th May.

If there will be 30 Rozas (fasts) in Pakistan then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2018 will be on Saturday 16th June.

Zakat and Sadaqah Al-Fitr:

The Sadaqah Al Fitr is different from the annual payment of Zakat and Muslims have to pay it before the Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer.

This year the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for Zakat deduction on bank accounts at Rs39,198 for the current Islamic year. Under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance 1980, no Zakat would be deducted in case a bank account has less than Rs39,198. Here is the statement of issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on Monday.

On the other hand the amount of Sadaqah Al Fitr is not yet announced by the concerned authorities. Last year the Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman had declared that minimum sadqa al fitar is Rs.100 and every one need to pay it according to his/her financial conditions.

Last year the Sadaqah Al Fitr was as per wheat rate was Rs.100, Rs.240 for barley, Raisins rates was Rs.1600 per person.

Roza Fidiya was Rs.7200 as per barley rate and Rs.48,000 as per dates and Raisins rates.

Roza na rakhne ka Kaffara is to feed 60 poor people or to give Rs.6,000 for wheat, Rs. 14,400 for barley, Rs. 76,800 for dates and Rs. 153,600 for raisin.

Saudi Arabia to Issue Tourist Visas in 2018. Yes, you heard the right. Saudi Arabia will start issuing tourist visas in 2018. According to sources the Saudi Arabia will start issuing tourist visas in the first quarter of 2018.

Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz said that government has consented to the launch of electronic visas next year to all nations. He add that they are setting up the regulations regarding the tourist visas and who is eligible and how to obtain.

The main aim to introduce the tourist visas is just to promote the tourism sector of Saudi Arabia.  Currently, millions of Muslims travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Haj and Umrah. But now Saudi Arabia, which is also offering tourist visas for a limited number of countries under strict regulation, will start offering to other countries as well.

Prince Sultan said the cost of the new tourist visa had not yet been settled, but it be as low as possible.

Public Holiday on 23rd March 2017

The Pakistan Day will be celebrated with the national holiday in Pakistan on 23rd March 2017. In this regard Government of Pakistan has officially declared Public Holiday on 23rd March 2017 in the country.

As per official statement all the Government and Semi-Government departments will remain close on 23rd March 2017. The Banks, Stock Exchanges are also observe holiday.

Pakistan Day, also known as Pakistan Resolution Day, also Republic Day has been observed in the country with great zeal and on 23rd March there remain a national public holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution. The Lahore resolution constituted on23rd   March 1940 aiming to contest for an isolated country for the Muslims of sub-continent. Before Lahore Resolution, there was no idea and concept of a separate state.

On 23rd March parade by the armed forces is a common celebration for the event. Preparations for the Pakistan Day parade are already in the full swing. After the consecutive gap of seven years, this will be the second Parade of Pakistan Day. This year the day will be celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will see Muharram 2016 Moon on October 1 in Pakistan

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is all set to see the Muharram 2016 Moon, 1438 Hijri, on 1st October in Pakistan, informed by Chief Administrator of Sindh Auqaf Department.
The committee’s members will gather for the Muharram 2016 Moon in Pakistan at Meteorological Department’s office on the University Road in Karachi.
Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar and the new Islamic year for Muslims. Muharram is also a time of remembrance or mourning at the sacrifices of Hussein ibn Ali on the Day of Ashura.
At Ashura various religious activities will be carried out such as spiritual singing and the recitation of Koranic verses. Since special prayers and addresses are piloted in public halls and mosques at night.

At Ashura various religious activities will be carried out such as spiritual singing and the recitation of Koranic verses. Since special prayers and addresses are piloted in public halls and mosques at night.

Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar and also referred as Al-Hijra. The Islamic calendar is based on Lunar movement. According to the Islamic calendar the Muharram will begin in Pakistan on 1st October 2016 and will end on 31st October 2016.
