Shab-e-Miraj 2018 to be Observed on April 13. Shab e-Meraj also known as Al Isra’ wal Miraj, which is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab. The moon of Rajab sighted on 18th March 2018 and the Shab-e-Miraj 2018 will be observed on April 13 in Pakistan. The Shab-e-Miraj in 2018 is also coming on the master of days that is “Friday”.

‘Isra’ means ‘walking in night’ and ‘Mairaj’ means to “ascend“. Therefore, Shab-e-Miraj represents the complete journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to Heaven.

Rajab is the seventh month in the Islamic calendar and the Shab-e-Miraj is the event when Allah Almighty took Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem Masjid al-Aqsa and then to heaven. Muslims from all over the world celebrate Shab-e-Miraj every year on 27th Rajab.

The Islamic calendar is based on the moon and, because the Western calendar is based on the sun, the dates of Muslim events move back each year.

The night of Isra and Shab-e-Miraj is one of the most holy and respected nights for Muslim.  Muslims organize special prayers in mosques to seek Allah’s forgiveness. The religious scholars would discuss the Miraj incident in detail whereas different Islamic and socio-cultural organizations will also arrange Mahafils to commemorate the Shab-e-Miraj.

The traditions of Shab e-Miraj differs from one Islamic community to the next. Some people spend the day and night by visiting the mosque, read Quran and do lots of prayers. There is a huge significance of fasting on this glorious event.

On the other hand some people decide to celebrate the occasion by decorating their houses with candles and electric lights and serve food to needy. In some Muslim countries, cities are illuminated with candles and lights.

There will no public holiday in Pakistan on the occasion Shab-e-Miraj 2018.

Public Holiday on 23rd March Announced. There will be a public holiday on 23rd March 2018 in Pakistan in order to commemorate the Pakistan Day. The Pakistan Day will be celebrated with the national holiday in country on 23rd March 2018.

The federal government has officially declared the Public Holiday on 23rd March 2018 in the country. As per official notification issued by the posted below about the public holiday in Pakistan has revealed that there will be a national holiday on Pakistan Day.

On 23rd March 2018 all the Government and Semi-Government departments will remain close to commemorate Pakistan Day. The Banks, Stock Exchanges are also observe holiday.

Eid Milad un-Nabi in Pakistan will be On December 12

The people of Pakistan will celebrate Eid Milad un-Nabi in the country on 12th December, 2016.  Eid Milad-un-Nabi is known as the Day of birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Sunni Muslims celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal while the Shia Muslims observe the day on 17th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

At the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi there will be a public holiday in Pakistan. All government and semi government institutes, schools, offices will remain close.
