Mobile Phone and Internet Services To Remain Suspended in Sindh on Friday. Mobile phone and Internet Services will remain suspended in sindh on Friday on the occasion of 12th Rabi ul Awwal 2017.

The Sindh government has decided to suspend the mobile phone and internet services in the province to ensure the security measures in connection with 12th Rabi ul Awwal 2017 celebrations.

In a letter to the Federal Ministry of Interior, the Sindh government has recommended to suspend the mobile phone and internet services across the province on Friday 1st Deccember 2017.

According to Sindh Home Secretary mobile phone and internet services will remain suspended from 8am to 8pm in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and other cities of the province.

In the meantime, more than 42, 000 policeman will be deployed across Sindh to protect Eid Milad un Nabi processions.

Sindh Government Declares Diwali Holiday. The Sindh government has declared the public holiday on the festival of Diwali. The public holiday will be for the Hindu community on Thursday 19th October 2017 in Sindh.

Diwali, religious occasion of the Hindu community, is considered with the Hindu New Year and is aimed at celebrating new beginnings.

This is the 5 days festival of lights which is celebrated by the Hindu communities across the world.

As per official deceleration, the notification issued by the provincial government, all Hindu employees of autonomous, semi-autonomous and local councils under the administrative control of Sindh will be given holiday on 19th October in  on the festival of Diwali.

Uber and Careem Are Banned in Punjab and Sindh

The taxi-haling companies Uber and Careem  re now banned by the government of Punjab. The Punjab Government’s Provincial Transport Authority has declared that the taxi haling service providers including Uber, Careem and A-One taxi illegal and stated that a severe action should be taken against them.

In order to ban the taxi service providers in Punjab a notification by Punjab Transport Authority has already been sent to Lahore’s chief Traffic Officer. As per notification the car hailing companies are using the using private cars for services that is illegal and provincial government is facing huge financial damages due to these companies.

The notification further stated that the private cars are being used as a taxi shorn of the mandatory car-fitness certificate and route license.

On the other hand it is not confirmed yet the ban is limited to Lahore or other cities of Punjab are also part of this order.

After Punjab Government, the Sindh government has decided to take legal action against the services of mobile-applications of  taxi service providers Careem, Uber and A-One.

The Sindh government also has declared that  these private taxi haling companies are using the private cars as taxies without mandatory legal permits and their move is illegal. They have asked Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block the mobile application of these taxi haling companies.

They wrote five letters to Careem management as a warning but received no reply, said Transport Secretary Taha Farooqui. The Sindh government also said that the Uber to bring its mobile application within ‘official compliance’.

The Transport Secretary also said that the cars used by the taxi hailing companies would need to be made commercial in order to be used as taxis and the owners of the cars required obtaining fitness certificates and route permits.

The government of Sindh has officially declared the public holiday in the province in order to commemorate Iqbal Day on November 9, 2016.

The federal government declared November 9 a public holiday in Sindh, following the decision of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announcement of a public holiday tomorrow in KPK.

All the public and private schools across Sindh will remain closed on Wednesday 9th November, 2016 on account of Iqbal Day.

Sindh Government Decides to Lessen the burden of Poor People

The government of Sindh has decide to lessen the burden of poor people by closing the shops by 07:00 pm and marriage halls by 10:00 pm in Sindh.

To ensure the implementation of the new law ministries of labour and industries has to work out.

To implement the new timing from 1st November 2016 in Sindh the government would take market associations and shopping malls management into confidence.

Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah said while addressing the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry programme that they are developing a new system under which all business activities would start functioning from the morning to evening.

It’s an attempt to reduce the financial burden of poor people the Sindh cabinet also passed the law of one dish in weddings like trice, curry and deser.

It is important to mention here that the CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has implemented the one dish law on weddings long ago to facilitate average classes of society. Moreover all marriages hall in Punjab close at 10:Pm.

The Chief Minister of Sindh also directed the district administration to meet traders, market associations and other stakeholders and inform him about their feedback on daily basis.
