Ingredients:

  • Imli (Tamarind) 250gm
  • Aloo Bukhara (Dried Plum) 250gm
  • Sugar 1Kg
  • Water 1 litre
  • Salt 1 tablespoon

How to Prepare of Imli Aloo Bukhara Sharbat?

First of all soak the aloo bukhara and imli separately overnight and deseeded them.  In a blender add imli pulp and aloo Bukhara and grind well to make a smooth paste. Now strain the paste with the help of sieve.

In a pan add sugar and water and cook until the syrup is thickened. Now add the imli, aloo Bukhara pulp and mix well. At last add the salt and cook the syrup for five minutes on low flame. Put off the flame and let the syrup to cool.

Pour the syrup into the bottle and store into the refrigerator for up to a month. When to make Sharbat add 2 to 3 tablespoon of syrup into the glass add ice cubes and water, stir well and enjoy the refreshing Imli Aloo Bukhara Sharbat at iftar.

Ingredients for Gulab Jamun:
• 8 white bread slices
• A cup of milk
• One cup Sugar
• ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
• Raisins (kismish) 10-12
• 1 glass of water
• Oil for frying

Method for syrup:

For syrup, you need to put a pan on the slow flame. Add sugar and water in the pan and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. After that add cardamom powder in it and let it cook well.
Method for dough of Gulab Jamun:
Put the bread into the bowl and crush it well. Now add milk in it and make a smooth paste.

Take a small portion of the dough and flat it on the palm stuff raisins in it and make ball. Make all the balls with the dough in the same way.

Now fry all the balls in the oil for a minute. When the gulab jamun balls turn into golden color put them into a plate.
