West Indies To Play Twenty20 Cricket Series in Pakistan

There is a good news for cricket fans that the West Indies Cricket Team has decided to come to Pakistan for playing Twenty20 cricket series.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi has confirmed that they have invited World T20 Champion West Indies to play two-match T20 series in Pakistan in March.

He added that the proposal was sent as a prerequisite in answer to another invitation received from West Indies asking Pakistan to play a T20 series in Florida in United States.

Najam Sethi said that they gave a proposal to WICB that after West Indies’ tour to England, which will end on March 9, they can come to Pakistan between 11 to 15 March for playing 2 twenty20 cricket series.

Since the attack on Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009, no international cricket teams have visited Pakistan for playing matches. Although, Zimbabwean team visited Pakistan in 2015, but there visit in the country could not restore the international cricket drought.

PCB Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi said that the cricket board is trying hard to end the lack of international cricket in Pakistan and has been in talks with several cricket boards around the world.

It is hoped that the Pakistani cricket grounds will again see the colour and hustle of the game in 2017.
