Hijab Wearing College Girls will Get Additional 5 Marks
The Higher Education Punjab has established a new policy to promote Hijab Culture in the province among the college girls. The Punjab Higher Education Minister Syed Raza Ali Gillani declared that under the new policy the girls wearing Hijab at the time of admission will be given additional five marks.
This policy is implemented for all the students of all government colleges in Punjab. The Punjab Higher Education Minister has declared this policy while presiding over a meeting of divisional directors held at Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore.
He added that the teachers will begin their classes with reciting verses of Qur’an and Hadith.
On the other hand Assefa Bhutto Zardari questioned the logic behind the new education policy of Punjab to award the additional 5 marks to Hijab Wearing girls.
She tweeted
“And what will the boys do? What will students of a different religion do? Why does wearing a Hijab impact grades/marks ?!,”

The Twitter Page of the Government of the Punjab has denied the announcement by the Punjab Higher Education Minister Raza Ali Gillani to give additional 5 marks to hijab wearing girls in colleges.
