The next elections in Pakistan will not be including the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Biometric Voting Machines (BVMs), revealed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). ECP revealed that they can’t buy the biometric voting machine unless the government pays approximately Rs.90 billion.

Earlier the Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to introduce the Electronic Voting machines till the next poll in 2018 but now failed to introduce them and the whole credit goes to our government.

All the opposition parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have demanded to place the Electronic Voting Machines in the polling stations for the upcoming election in Pakistan.

There are approximately 80,000 election polling stations across the country and the ECP only needs to place 0.6 million EVMs and BVMs but failed to do so due to the lack of funding required for purchasing.

By keeping in mind the ongoing situation in Pakistan it is sure that the next elections in 2018 will feature the same low quality magnetized ink.
