When Will 12th Rabi ul Awwal (1439 Hijri) 2017 in Pakistan? Rabi-ul-Awwal is likely to start in Pakistan on the eve of Monday 20th November in Pakistan and November 21 will be the day of 1st Rabi-ul-Awwal 2017 in the country. On the other hand the 12th Rabi ul Awwal, Eid Melad Un Nabi would be celebrate on 1st December 2017 in Pakistan.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will officially declare the Rabi ul Awwal 1439 Hijri moon sighting in Pakistan under the supervision of Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.

Second Lunar Eclipse 2017 to Take Place in August

The second lunar eclipse (chand grahan) 2017 is all set to take place in the month of August. The second lunar eclipse 2017 will be visible at the night of 7 August and will be witnessed by the people of different countries including Pakistan.

The second lunar eclipse will be partial in which moon will only be slightly covered by the Earth’s umbral shadow at maximum eclipse.

Second Lunar Eclipse 2017 Visibility around the world:

The second lunar eclipse 2017 will be visible over Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, East in South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and Antarctica.

Time of second lunar eclipse 2017 in Pakistan:

The second lunar eclipse 2017 will be witnessed in Pakistan at 8:50pm local time and will hit the highest point at 11:20pm. The second lunar eclipse (chand grahan) will end at 1:51am.

The second lunar eclipse or chand grahan 2017 will be visible in the different cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Karachi, Multan and other cities.

Time of second lunar eclipse 2017 in India:

The second lunar eclipse 2017 will be witnessed in India at 23:50pm on 7th August, while the maximum duration of the chand grahan will be 5 hours 1 minute.

Earlier, the first lunar eclipse of 2017 was witnessed in Pakistan and many other countries on 11th February for at least 4 hours.

Lunar Eclipse in 2018:

The big lunar eclipse will be on 31st January, 2018, and will be visible across Asia, Australia, the Pacific, and parts of the Western U.S.   The lunar eclipse in 2018 will be a much more obvious skywatching event.

Third and Final Supermoon 2016 with Geminid Meteor Shower to Occur on 14th December

People have witnessed the supermoon in November but it was not the final supermoon of 2016. The third and final supermoon 2016 is to occur on 14th December along with Geminid meteor showers.

The moon will appear 14 per cent bigger on the same day it become full and 30 per cent brighter than the usual. The moon will closer to earth than it has in decades. This will be the final supermoon of the year 2016, the first occurred on 14th October, the second was on 14th November, and the third and final will be at the night of 13-14 December. The next supermoon will occur in 2034.

There will be additional treat for the viewers, the supermoon will occur along with Geminid meteor shower.

The Geminids are an annual meteor shower triggered by the 3200 Phaethon asteroid. Its orbit carries it very close to the sun, producing its surface material to smash and break off. The Earth passes over this space rubble every December, which burns up as hits our atmosphere. These are the meteors visible in our sky.

Nasa said that the Geminid meteor shower will start from 14th to 16th December. On the other hand the brightness of supermoon will make it harder to witness the visibility of meteor showers.

 Where to see?

Space gazers can observe in the Northern Hemisphere than the southern Hemisphere and if you are lucky you can witness the meteor showers and shooting stars every hour on the night of 13-14 December.

Today you can view the supermoon in Pakistan. The supermoon will be visible in Pakistan and other countries of the world.

The Supermoon will be visible in Lahore and other cities of Pakistan.  Supermoon will start in Pakistan at 6:52 PM. This is the second supermoon of the year 2016 and the other supermoon will be witness on 14th December, 2016.

Meteorological Office reported that the moon will be seen bigger and brighter. The moon comes close to the earth it appears 14% bigger and 30% brighter than the normal full moon. The distance of the moon from earth will be of 356509 KM.

Supermoon With Meteor Shower To lighten up Sky in November

This type of supermoon appears 70 years ago and was seen in 1948. Today the supermoon will also be witness in Hong Kong, Sydney, Australia, China, Taiwan and other countries of the world.

People can experience such a brighter supermoon again on 2th November in 2034.

Lunar eclipse in 2017

Lunar eclipse takes place in full moon night when the Earth comes in middle of sun and moon. In lunar eclipse, moon is safe to view from any side of the earth. Lunar eclipse happens twice in a year and usually moon become dark red termed as blood moon. Dates revealed of 2017 lunar eclipse are 11 February 2017 & 7 August 2017. On these two specific dates earth will play with sun and moon by coming in middle of them.

Lunar eclipse 2017 will be of two type as on 11th February eclipse will be of penumbral type that will take place at Asia Africa , Europe and America. On 7th August 2017 eclipse will be of partial type and will be visible in Asia, Africa , Europe and America.

In 2016 both times lunar eclipse is of penumbral type but 2017 will be great year as eclipse type will vary with each other. Penumbra region is that where of the shadow that is not completely covered from the rays of the sun so Penumbral eclipse is that type when moon only enters the Penumbra area of the Earth’s shadow while in partial type of eclipse moon enters partially in penumbra region.

When considering lunar eclipse calendar of 2016, 2017 & 2018. The years 2016 and 2018 will have same type of eclipse while 2017 lunar eclipse will be special due to different sort of eclipse type.

Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse (Chand Grahan) To Occur on 16th September 2016

The Lunar Eclipse, Chand Grahan is to take place on Friday Night in Pakistan and India

There will be full Moon and the lunar eclipse or  Chand Grahan on 16th September 2016. The final Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 will be witnessed by the people around the world.

The continents including Europe, Australia, Asia, West in South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica, and Africa will see the Harvest moon eclipse (In skylore, the Harvest Moon is the full moon nearby to the autumn equinox, usually occurs in September, may also happens in October depending on occasion) on Friday night, whereas South America and North America will not be able to see the third and final chand grahan of the year 2016.

The people will living in South America and North America will have to wait until 2017 for watching the Lunar Eclipse.

The full moon in September, named as harvest moon because it’s a time when farmers are all set to harvest their crops.

The full moon in September had also got different names like the Barley Moon, the Worm Moon, the Full Corn Moon and the Crow Moon.

The third chand Grahan of the year 2016 will be a Penumbral lunar eclipse (A penumbral lunar eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth, and Moon arrange in almost in a straight line.) and will different from a total eclipse.Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse (Chand Grahan) To Occur on 16th September 2016

In the third lunar eclipse or chand grahan 2016 the full moon will pass through the umbra, or the blackest part of the Earth’s shadow, and the moon will turn into red and orange color.

Time of Third Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The third lunar eclipse 2016 will be visible to everyone without any special equipment. In other words people will see the chand grahan with their eyes. The penumbral lunar eclipse will happen at Friday night, 16th September 2016, starting at 09:55 pm.

Lunar Eclipse 2016 in Pakistan:

The lunar eclipse or chand grahan will be visible in the different cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Karachi, Multan and other cities.

The duration of the Lunar Eclipse in Pakistan will be of 3 hours. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the lunar eclipse will occur in the country starting from 09:55 pm and will last nearly at 1:54 PM. So the duration of chand grahan will be exactly three hours, 59 minutes and 16 seconds.

The weather may cause hurdle during the witness of the lunar eclipse in Pakistan but the sky will clear in different regions of the country including, Upper Punjab, Sind, South Punjab Balochistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, according to PMD.

Well for the desperate Lahories the chand grahan will be visible in Lahore as the weather condition is good. The full moon will be there and the people of Lahore will witness the entire moon eclipse.

Lunar Eclipse 2016 in India:

The Lunar eclipse or chand grahan 2016 will also be visible in the different cities of India including, New Delhi, Pune, Agra, Uttar Pardesh, Hyderabad,  Telangana and other cities.

The chand grahan in India will took place at 10:24 PM of Friday night and will end at 2:23 am.

First Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The first Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 had occurred in March and was witnessed by the people of several countries including United States, Canada, Iceland, Russia, Turkmenistan, Norway, Australia and other countries of the region.

Second Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The second Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 occurred on 18th August 2016, but most of the viewers were not able to witness the Chand Grahan because according to monitoring agencies, the Lunar Eclipse was nearly be visually unnoticeable. Only the viewers in Pacific Ocean near continents Australia and the Americas were to witness the Chand Grahan. The monitoring agencies had said that the chances of seeing Lunar Eclipse were very rare.

Zilhaj Moon is Not Sighted In Pakistan

Eid is the day of sanctions and joy for Muslims. Eid Ul Azha is feted every year to commemorate Ibrahim’s enthusiasm to sacrifice his son for Allah Almighty. In Pakistan members of various district committees meet at their respective offices for sighting the Eid crescent, decision is announced by committee chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman according to that :

Zilhaj Moon is not sighted in Pakistan on 2nd September 2016 .  Eid Ul Azha will be celebrated on 13 September 2016 in Pakistan. 

In saudia Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on 12 september 2016. Hajj will be performed By Hajjis from all over the world on 11 September 2016.
