Ramadan 2018 Moon: First Ramadan will be on May 17 in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Other Countries of the World. Fasting is one of the five mandatory pillars of Islam. Muslims keep fasts in the holy month of Ramadan and seeks Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. This year the holy month of Ramadan is to begin on 17th May 2018 in many countries around the world.

The Saudi Arabian moon gazers said that the Ramadan Moon 2018 not sighted in the country and therefore the holy month of Ramadan will begin on the evening of 16th May while on 17th May there will be the 1st Ramadan. Millions of Muslims around the world will begin the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday, 17th May 2018. After the declaration of the concerned authorities the holy month of Ramadan 2018 is due to begin in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Malaysia and Middle East countries.

On the other hand the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met today at the head office in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon 2018 in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman today in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon 2018 in Pakistan.

The Ruet-e-Hilal committee has received the evidence concerning sight of the crescent for the holy month of Ramadan 2018.

In Karachi, the sun set at 7:10 PM and the moon was observed 61 minutes after. Earlier the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had predicted that the Ramadan 2018 moon would likely be sighted on 16th May and the prediction of PMD proved accurate as the Ramadan 2018 moon is sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan on 17th May (Thursday).

The Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has announced that the Ramazan 2018 moon is sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan ul Mubarak will be on 17th May.

If there will be 30 Rozas (fasts) in Pakistan then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2018 will be on Saturday 16th June.

Zakat and Sadaqah Al-Fitr:

The Sadaqah Al Fitr is different from the annual payment of Zakat and Muslims have to pay it before the Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer.

This year the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for Zakat deduction on bank accounts at Rs39,198 for the current Islamic year. Under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance 1980, no Zakat would be deducted in case a bank account has less than Rs39,198. Here is the statement of issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on Monday.

On the other hand the amount of Sadaqah Al Fitr is not yet announced by the concerned authorities. Last year the Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman had declared that minimum sadqa al fitar is Rs.100 and every one need to pay it according to his/her financial conditions.

Last year the Sadaqah Al Fitr was as per wheat rate was Rs.100, Rs.240 for barley, Raisins rates was Rs.1600 per person.

Roza Fidiya was Rs.7200 as per barley rate and Rs.48,000 as per dates and Raisins rates.

Roza na rakhne ka Kaffara is to feed 60 poor people or to give Rs.6,000 for wheat, Rs. 14,400 for barley, Rs. 76,800 for dates and Rs. 153,600 for raisin.

Ramazan 2018 Likely To Begin on May 16: Met Office. Ramazan aka Ramadan is the ninth month of Islamic year and during this month Muslims keep fasts for twenty nine to thirty days.

This year the Ramazan 2018 is all set to begin on the evening of 16th May and on 17th May there will likely be the 1st Ramazan in Pakistan. As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) prediction the Ramazan 2018 moon will likely be sighted on 16th May. If the prediction of PMD comes true there will be 1st Ramazan on 17th May (Thursday).

According to PMD the moon of Ramazan 2018 will born on 15th May at 4:49pm and the age of the new moon will be 26 hours and 45 minutes at the time of sighting on 16th May, 2018 in Pakistan. On the evening of 16th May the Ramazan 2018 moon will remain visible for 61 minutes after sunset.

In Pakistan the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (CRHC) will observe the moon on the evening of May 16 and will declare officially about the beginning of Ramazan in Pakistan.

In Arab countries and Saudi Arabia the Ramazan 2018 moon is expected to sight on 15th May, as per Al Jazeera report.

While in other countries of the world in USA and Europe Muslim communities will follow the astronomical calculations and 16th May 2018 will be the first Ramazan there.

EarthQuake in Pakistan Jolts Northern Areas

It has been reported that a moderate earthquake jolts the northern areas of Pakistan today on 1st October, 2016. The 5.5 magnitude of earth quake was felt in the north western parts of Pakistan including Malakand Division, Peshawar, Islamabad,Gilgit Baltistan, Abbottabad district, Skardu, Chillas, and Azad Kashmir. There are no reports of damage so far.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the earthquake in north western areas of Pakistan is measured 5.5 magnitude and a depth of 43.4 km.

The third lunar eclipse 2016 in Pakistan will be noticeable to everybody without any special equipment. In other words people will see the chand grahan with their eyes. The penumbral lunar eclipse will happen at Friday night, 16th September 2016, starting at 09:55 pm and will last on 17th September at 1:55 AM at Pakistan Standard time.

According to PMD, the weather may cause hurdle during the witness of the lunar eclipse in Pakistan but the sky will clear in different regions of the country including, Upper Punjab, Sind, South Punjab Balochistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lunar Eclipse, Chand Grahan is to take place on Friday Night in Pakistan and India

There will be full Moon and the lunar eclipse or  Chand Grahan on 16th September 2016. The final Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 will be witnessed by the people around the world.

The continents including Europe, Australia, Asia, West in South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica, and Africa will see the Harvest moon eclipse (In skylore, the Harvest Moon is the full moon nearby to the autumn equinox, usually occurs in September, may also happens in October depending on occasion) on Friday night, whereas South America and North America will not be able to see the third and final chand grahan of the year 2016.

The people will living in South America and North America will have to wait until 2017 for watching the Lunar Eclipse.

The Lunar eclipse or chand grahan 2016 will also be visible in the different cities of India including, New Delhi, Pune, Agra, Uttar Pardesh, Hyderabad,  Telangana and other cities.

The chand grahan in India will took place at 10:24 PM of Friday night and will end at 2:23 am.

First Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The first Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 had occurred in March and was witnessed by the people of several countries including United States, Canada, Iceland, Russia, Turkmenistan, Norway, Australia and other countries of the region.

Second Lunar Eclipse 2016:

The second Lunar Eclipse of the year 2016 occurred on 18th August 2016, but most of the viewers were not able to witness the Chand Grahan because according to monitoring agencies, the Lunar Eclipse was nearly be visually unnoticeable. Only the viewers in Pacific Ocean near continents Australia and the Americas were to witness the Chand Grahan. The monitoring agencies had said that the chances of seeing Lunar Eclipse were very rare.
