How to Apply For Punjab Servants Benevolent Fund Scholarships 2018? Punjab government Servants Benevolent Fund is one of the largest welfare for the employees. Government employees can get four kinds of grants under the supervision of 1965 and 1966 Punjab government Servants Benevolent Fund.

The four grants are scholarships, marriage, funeral expenses and monthly grants to the spouse of government servant after his or her death. The government of Punjab extends the amount of fund from time to time.

In order to educate the children of its employees, Punjab government awards educational scholarships grant.

The present rates for award of Educational Scholarship granted to the children of government servants per annum are as follows:

Gazetted (Part-I)

  • Primary to Matric level PKR 5,000
  • A, B.A and equivalent level PKR 14,000
  • A and equivalent level, BDS, MBBS, B.Sc (Eng), DVM, B.Sc (Hon), Agri, B. Pharmacy, M.Phil, PhD, etc. PKR 16,000

Non-Gazetted (Part-II)

  • Primary to Matric level PKR 1,500
  • A, B.A and equivalent level PKR 3,000
  • A and equivalent level, BDS, MBBS, B.Sc (Eng), DVM, B.Sc (Hon), Agri, B. Pharmacy, M.Phil, PhD, etc. PKR 6,000

Special Grant For High Achievers

The government of Punjab will also grant the special educational scholarships to the students who secured 90% or more marks in any examination in (Matriculation or above).

These students will be awarded Rs. 50,000 educational scholarships grant instead of normal rates.

Punjab govt decides to regularize contract educators in all districts including Rawalpindi.
Punjab government has decided to regularize all contract Educators working in all the districts throughout province including Rawalpindi. .

According to media reports notification on regularization of 25000 educators will be issued in February. All the contract teachers will be regularized before induction of caretaker governments.

On the other hand teachers who were enrolled a few moths back are facing a dilemma as they have not been paid a single pie on account of salaries so far.

Punjab government awards contract of passing vehicles to foreign company. Punjab government has awarded contract of checking fitness and giving appropriateness certificate to vehicles to a foreign company. Sources said that Provincial Ministry of Transport has assigned the task to “Vicks” a Sweden’s company and signed an agreement in this regard.

The agreement was made with an object to stop the corruption in Motor Vehicle Examiner Department. As per agreement, the new company would establish its branches in all districts of the province including Rawalpindi. The vehicles would be checked through modern equipment and machinery and then issue fitness certificates of vehicles.

Sources in this regard told Online that currently Punjab government is collecting over Rs 500 million revenue annually on account of passing and fitness certificates of vehicles through Motor vehicle examines department.

The provincial government had set targets for all districts and showcause notices were issued to those districts not achieving the target, however government would give subsidy to this company in case of not achieving the target.
“The Punjab government in 1987 had conducted this experiment and foreign company was awarded contract against Rs 2.5 million while ignoring the revenue of millions of rupees annually but this project had failed at initial stages and the government faced loss worth millions of rupees”, sources added.
Sources said that Motor vehicle examines has collected some Rs 8 million which are over the target set by the government. Currently, this annual ratio is Rs 40 million and Rs 50 million in Rawalpindi and Lahore respectively.
The transporters community of Rawalpindi and Islamabad has termed this project inapplicable. Ghulam Mustafa Khan, General Secretary United Transport Federation Rawalpindi/Islamabad told Online that transporters have no objection of awarding contract to foreign company and suggested that all national highways including Grand Trunk Road (G.T.Road) should be repaired and maintained.

Ropeways-Transport-System

Lahore to Get Ropeways Transport System Soon

Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has declared to build ropeways transport system in Lahore. In this regard he has directed to prepare possibility report on installation of ropeways transport system in Lahore. The ropeways transport system will be installed as many as three different localities in Lahore including Imamia Colony to Railway Station, Jehangir Tomb to Greater Iqbal Park, Jalo Mor to Thokar Niaz Baig.

While one Ropeways Transport System will also be build from Islamabad to Murree.

The CM Shehbaz Sharif revealed that an international company is interested to do this project in collaboration with Punjab government after which the authorities have been given green signal to start paper work on it.

The meeting chaired by CM also attended by provincial ministers Chaudhry Sher Ali, Managing Director of Punjab Masstransit Authority Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, transport and environment secretaries, and Lahore Commissioner Abdullah Sumbal.

Punjab Government to Launch Orange Cab Scheme

After the success of Apna Rozgar Scheme Government of Punjab is all set to introduce the Orange Cab Scheme in the province.

Under the new scheme government will offer 100,00 orange cabs to the unemployed youth to get livelihood.

CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has declared the Orange Cab Scheme by tweeting, read as,

 Orange Cab Scheme will be launched this year. As per the scheme, one lac cars will be given to unemployed youth.

He added to avoid corruption and mismanagement the framework of Orange Cab scheme will be electronic. There is no information on how an individual can get a car for earning income under the Orange Cab scheme

Earlier the Punjab Government has started Yellow Cab Scheme and granted nearly 50,000 cars under “Apna Rozgar Scheme”  to the individuals for earning livelihood.

Punjab Government Launches e-stamp papers System

The government of Punjab is moving toward e-governance and has launched the e-stamp papers system in 144 tehsils of the province. Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government was quickly moving towards e-governance and after land record management information system, e-stamp papers system has been launched in the province.

The launching ceremony of e-stamp papers was held at Arfa Karim Software Technology Park on Monday. Provincial Ministers Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Ata Manika, Advisor Dr. Umer Saif, Senior Member Board of Revenue and Deputy Governor of the State Bank also addressed the ceremony. Provincial Ministers, Members Assembly, Chief Secretary, IT experts, columnists and a large number of boy and girl students were also present on the launch event.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the new e-stamp papers system is a revolutionary step of the provincial government for removal of exploitation and falsification. He further said that the 70-years old system of judicial and non-judicial stamp papers had been changed with the new system in the province and the new system of e-stamp papers will also eliminate the practice of issuance of stamp papers in back dates and the difficulties of the people concerning accurate estimation of their properties will be fixed.

Punjab Government Launches e-stamp papers System

CM said that the modern technology will also be introduced in other sectors including education, health, police, etc. the modern system will also be introduced in the hospitals in order to ensure attendance of doctors and paramedical staff as well as control misappropriation of medicines, he said.

Chief Minister said that the new e-stamp paper will allow the customers to have the stamp paper in just 15 minutes rather than to wait for three days. They will also not have to pay frequent visits to offices and banks. For having stamp papers

He added that the new system of e-stamp papers will be beneficial, and the revenue recovery has increased by 33 percent.

CM Shehbaz Sharif said that no society can progress without justice but unluckily justice is sold in police stations and katcheries. He said that justice is vital for progress and development of the country.

Punjab Government Allows to Celebrate Basant Festival

It’s been reported by the social media TV Channels today that the government of Punjab has lift ban on celebrating Basant Festival in the province.

The Education Minister Rana Masood on Monday announced that the Basant Festival “Safe Basant” will be held in the province in February 2017. He said the Basant was banned in the country since long and the festival will be held at the designated places in Lahore.

It is important to mention here that Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif earlier had established an eight member committee under the leadership MPA Zaeem Qadri for the revival of Basant Festival in Lahore.

Supreme Court of Pakistan had banned the celebration of the Basant festival in the country in 2005, over the number of deaths by the use of sharp and glass coasted string.

Now once again the ban is lifted and the Basant lovers in Lahore can celebrate the festival with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Public Holiday on 1st December 2016

On the direction of Election commission of Pakistan and Punjab Government the authorities of Jhang has officially declared the public holiday on 1st December 2016 in the district on the occasion of election.

The official resources has confirmed that the official notification for public holiday on 1st December 2016 in Jhang. Earlier the Supreme Court of Pakistan has disqualified Rashida Yaqoob (member of PML-N) for hiding properties. She was elected in 2013 general election and the runner-up candidate Mr.Ludhianvi has challenged her election.

In order to fulfill the vacant position the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared to elect election in the district and ordered the authorities to officially declared public holiday on 1st December 2016.
