Ramadan 2018 Moon: First Ramadan will be on May 17 in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Other Countries of the World. Fasting is one of the five mandatory pillars of Islam. Muslims keep fasts in the holy month of Ramadan and seeks Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. This year the holy month of Ramadan is to begin on 17th May 2018 in many countries around the world.

The Saudi Arabian moon gazers said that the Ramadan Moon 2018 not sighted in the country and therefore the holy month of Ramadan will begin on the evening of 16th May while on 17th May there will be the 1st Ramadan. Millions of Muslims around the world will begin the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday, 17th May 2018. After the declaration of the concerned authorities the holy month of Ramadan 2018 is due to begin in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Malaysia and Middle East countries.

On the other hand the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met today at the head office in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon 2018 in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman today in Karachi to see the Ramadan moon 2018 in Pakistan.

The Ruet-e-Hilal committee has received the evidence concerning sight of the crescent for the holy month of Ramadan 2018.

In Karachi, the sun set at 7:10 PM and the moon was observed 61 minutes after. Earlier the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had predicted that the Ramadan 2018 moon would likely be sighted on 16th May and the prediction of PMD proved accurate as the Ramadan 2018 moon is sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan on 17th May (Thursday).

The Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has announced that the Ramazan 2018 moon is sighted in Pakistan and the 1st Ramadan ul Mubarak will be on 17th May.

If there will be 30 Rozas (fasts) in Pakistan then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2018 will be on Saturday 16th June.

Zakat and Sadaqah Al-Fitr:

The Sadaqah Al Fitr is different from the annual payment of Zakat and Muslims have to pay it before the Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer.

This year the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for Zakat deduction on bank accounts at Rs39,198 for the current Islamic year. Under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance 1980, no Zakat would be deducted in case a bank account has less than Rs39,198. Here is the statement of issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on Monday.

On the other hand the amount of Sadaqah Al Fitr is not yet announced by the concerned authorities. Last year the Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman had declared that minimum sadqa al fitar is Rs.100 and every one need to pay it according to his/her financial conditions.

Last year the Sadaqah Al Fitr was as per wheat rate was Rs.100, Rs.240 for barley, Raisins rates was Rs.1600 per person.

Roza Fidiya was Rs.7200 as per barley rate and Rs.48,000 as per dates and Raisins rates.

Roza na rakhne ka Kaffara is to feed 60 poor people or to give Rs.6,000 for wheat, Rs. 14,400 for barley, Rs. 76,800 for dates and Rs. 153,600 for raisin.

1st Muharram Will Be on 22nd September 2017 in Pakistan. The new Islamic year of Muslims is to begin in few days. Muharram 2017 is all set to begin in Pakistan at the sunset of 21st September. The 1st Muharram 1439 Hijri will be on Friday 22nd September 2017. The Ashura 2017 will be on Sunday 1st of October. At Ashura various religious activities will be carried out such as spiritual singing and the recitation of Koranic verses. Since special prayers and addresses are piloted in public halls and mosques at night.

Ashura Day is observed in remembrance of the massacre of Muhammad’s grandson Imam Husayn ibn Ali – and some of his family and companions – at the Battle of Karbala.

There will be a public holiday on the occasion of Ashura 2017 in Pakistan.

Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar and also referred as Al-Hijra. With the sighting of the Muharram 2017 moon Muslims will start their new Islamic year 1439 Hijri.

The Islamic calendar is based on lunar movement, today is 22nd Zilhuj and according to the Islamic calendar the Muharram 2017 will begin in Pakistan on 22nd September and will end on 21st October. 1st Safar 1439 Hijri will likely to be on 22nd October 2017 in Pakistan.

In Pakistan the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will officially declare the arrival of Muharram 2017 in Pakistan after seeing the Muharram moon on 21st September.

The committee member will gather on 21st September 2017 for sighting of the Muharram moon under the supervision of Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman. The official declaration of the  1st Muharram 2017 in Pakistan will be made by the Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman.

Muharram is the first Month in the Islamic calendar and with the 1st Muharram the New Year for Muslims start. Some Muslims use to keep fast during the first month of Muharram.

Government of Punjab today on Monday has officially declared the holiday for Eid-u-Fitar 2017 in the province. As per notification issued by the Chief Secretary of Punjab Eid-u-Fitar 2017 holiday will be on 26, 27 and 28 of June while the 29 june will be the working day in the province.

The Pakistan Meteorological department said that there is great chance of the Shwaal moon 2017 to be sighted on 2th June on Sunday in the country. However, the final announcement for Eid-u-Fitar 2017 will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal committee.

Shawwal Moon 2017 Likely to Sight on 25th June

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that there is a great chance of the Shawwal Moon 2017 to be sighted on 25th June. If the Shawwal Moon sighted on Sunday 25th June then the Eid-ul-Fitr 2017 will be on Monday 26th June in Pakistan.

The astronomical parameters suggested that there is a ‘good chance’  of the Shawwal moon will be sighted on the evening of 25th June on 29th of Ramzan, 1438 Hijri, said a PMD official.

The PMD said that the new moon of Shawwal, 1438 Hijri will be born on crossing conjunction point at 07:31 PST on 24th June.

The weather conditions will remain fair and mostly cloudy in some parts of the country on 25th June.

The final announcement of the shawwal moon sighting in Pakistan will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal committee.

There is a great chance of  Eid-ul-Fitr 2017 will be on Monday 26th June in Pakistan and the federal government has already announced the public holidays for Eid starting from 26th June to last 28th June.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will see Muharram 2016 Moon on October 1 in Pakistan

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is all set to see the Muharram 2016 Moon, 1438 Hijri, on 1st October in Pakistan, informed by Chief Administrator of Sindh Auqaf Department.
The committee’s members will gather for the Muharram 2016 Moon in Pakistan at Meteorological Department’s office on the University Road in Karachi.
Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar and the new Islamic year for Muslims. Muharram is also a time of remembrance or mourning at the sacrifices of Hussein ibn Ali on the Day of Ashura.
At Ashura various religious activities will be carried out such as spiritual singing and the recitation of Koranic verses. Since special prayers and addresses are piloted in public halls and mosques at night.

Eid is the day of sanctions and joy for Muslims. Eid Ul Azha is feted every year to commemorate Ibrahim’s enthusiasm to sacrifice his son for Allah Almighty. In Pakistan members of various district committees meet at their respective offices for sighting the Eid crescent, decision is announced by committee chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman according to that :

Zilhaj Moon is not sighted in Pakistan on 2nd September 2016 .  Eid Ul Azha will be celebrated on 13 September 2016 in Pakistan. 

In saudia Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on 12 september 2016. Hajj will be performed By Hajjis from all over the world on 11 September 2016.
