Saudi Arabia has removed additional Tax on Umrah Pilgrims and offered 85% reduction in Visa fee for Pakistani Workers.
No More Additional Tax on Pilgrims and 85% Reduction in Visa Fee for Pakistanis Workers: Thanks to PM. We earlier informed you that the Umrah Pilgrims don’t need to pay additional tax to perform Umrah. The Secretary of Religious Affairs has informed that the crown prince agreed to end the tax of 2000 SAR on Pakistani pilgrims.
This is all because of the Prime Minister Imran Khan, who recently visited Saudi Arabia and requested the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud to remove the additional taxes on the Umrah Pilgrims from Pakistan. Upon the request of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan the agreed to end the tax of 2000 SAR on Pakistani pilgrims.
The additional tax of the amount of SAR 2,000 had been imposed by the Saudi government and the people who will come to perform and Umrah twice in a year will have to pay the amount of SAR 2,000.
Now there is another good news for the Umrah and Hajj Pilgrims of Pakistan and that is the Saudi government has reduced the Visa fee for them up to 85%. Yes now the Pakistani Umrah and Hajj Pilgrims can get the Saudi Visa in 85% reduction of the actual fee.
This is all because of the after the approval of a multi-billion dollar support project by the Saudi government to Pakistan. Saudi Arabia has agreed to reduce the visa fee for Pakistanis who reside in the Kingdom.
85% reduction in Visa Fee for Pakistani Workers
This news was revealed by the Finance Minister, Asad Umar last week. As per reports the Saudi government has reduced the visa for Pakistani workers by up to 1700 riyals. The new visa fee is 300 riyals. Saudi government had increased the visa fee to 2000 riyals back in 2016.
It is also important to mention here that the Saudi Arabia had also reduced the Visa fee for Indian workers as well upon the request of Prime Minister Modi in May this year.
Furthermore, the government has also made the visa process easy for the workers and all this happened due to the Prime Minister Imran Khan last visited the Kingdom.
